MURRAY, KY - A Murray pedestrian was struck by an SUV on Friday morning.

The Murray Police Department responded to Sycamore Street near Murray High School and spoke to the driver, Candice Sharp, who said a juvenile suddenly entered the road. Sharp said she tried to stop but couldn't avoid striking him with her vehicle.

The juvenile told police he had lost control of his skateboard while on the way to Murray High School. He went into the road to retrieve the board, and was struck by the SUV's side bumper and mirror.
