A second arrest has been made in a Carlisle County burglary investigation.

According to the Carlisle County Sheriff's Department, a grand jury heard testimony from an investigation into a January 7th burglary of a city-owned building on Front Street in Bardwell. Over $2000 worth of tools and equipment were taken.

The grand jury indicted 57-year-old Jewell “Outlaw” Wiley on charges of facilitation to burglary, facilitation to theft by unlawful taking between $500 and $10,000, possession of a controlled substance 1st offense methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wiley was taken into custody at a home on Front Street and was taken to the Ballard County Jail.

The Sheriff's Department's initial investigation led them to a recycling center and then to a home on Front Street, where a search warrant was executed. Items related to the burglary were allegedly found, including drugs and paraphernalia. Jordan Jones was arrested on January 10th after admitting to entering the building and stealing the items, some of which were damaged.

At the time of Jones' arrest, Wiley denied any involvement in the crimes.

The Sheriff's Department says no other arrests are anticipated in this investigation.
