Section of Industrial Parkway Closed Today

P&L Railroad plans to close a section of KY 1523/Industrial Parkway in the Calvert City area of Marshall County on Tuesday.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the road will be closed to allow rail crossing repairs near the Cypress Creek Bridge between East 5th Avenue and KY 282/Gilbertsville Highway. This is along one of the 3 access routes for the Calvert City Industrial Community.

The road will close at around 8 a.m. to allow existing pavement at the crossing to be milled out and new pavement to be placed at the site. It is expected to reopen around 2 p.m.
