Sedalia Woman Faces Charges After Pursuit

MURRAY - A two-county police chase Thursday ended with the arrest of a Graves County woman on multiple charges.

According to the Calloway County Sheriff's Office, a deputy on patrol on State Route 94 west of Murray clocked a car traveling 83 miles per hour in a 55-mph zone. The deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, which failed to yield.

A pursuit ensued through Calloway and Graves counties and ended without incident on Seay Graveyard Road in Graves County. The driver of the car, 33-year-old Jessica Ann Long of Sedalia, was arrested and lodged in the Calloway County Jail.

Long is charged with speeding, fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment, DUI 2nd offense and possession of marijuana.
