The Christian County Sheriff's Office has received numerous reports of someone pretending to be from the sheriff's office and telling people they have active warrants for their arrest.
Some reports are saying the person is pretending to be Major Jason Newby.
Law enforcement officials are reminding the public that the Christian County Sheriff's Office will not contact the public over the phone with that kind of information, and that Major Newby is not making calls.
