Six COVID Deaths Reported by Area Health Officials

WESTERN KENTUCKY/SOUTHERN ILLINOIS - Health departments have released the latest information on COVID-19 cases, and six deaths have been confirmed in our area. 
The Calloway County Health Department reported one new case of the virus and one new COVID-related death. There have been 3,296 cases and 48 deaths in Calloway County. 

The Marshall County Health Department says they have six new cases, and have also learned of five deaths. There have been 2,531 cases and 50 deaths. 

The Purchase District Health Department confirmed fifteen new cases of the virus. Nine of the cases are in McCracken County, five are in Ballard County and one is in Hickman County. There have been 7,571 positive tests in the Purchase District, with 74 percent of them in McCracken County. 

The Graves County Health Department reported six new virus cases, bringing their total to 3,531 since last March. There have been 88 deaths in the county during the pandemic. 

The Southern Seven Health Department has not released new numbers since February 11. 

The Pennyrile District Health Department has been closed due to weather conditions since Feb. 9.
