MAYFIELD, KY - The Sports Rally for Christ event, "Head vs. Heart," will be held at the Graves County High School Gymnasium this Sunday, September 23 at 6 pm.  

This is the fifth Sports Rally held at GCHS. Teens, adults, church groups, and youth groups are strongly encouraged to attend the free event. There will be special music performed by Matt Sullivan and the Hardin Baptist Worship Team. 

Guest speakers will be David and Lori Scott, who lost their son Jacob along with his two friends, Trevor Williams and McKenzie Stanley on Kentucky Lake in 2009. Four teenage friends set out to go duck hunting, but only one of them was recovered alive. The horrific event resulted in the largest search and recovery effort in western Kentucky’s history, during the worst ice storm to plague this area. During this time, the Scott Family wrestled with God, trying to understand why this happened. In the end, they found God was with them all the time, carrying them through the storm and demonstrating His unwavering love. 

Church groups, teens, parents, grandparents, and those grieving or going through tough personal struggles in their life are encouraged to attend.
