State Police Make Two Arrests in 2016 Burglaries

LYON COUNTY, KY - Kentucky State Police have charged two Caldwell County men on burglary charges following an investigation that began in March of last year. 

The burglary occurred between March 3 and March 6, 2016, at 237 Mobile Drive in Eddyville. During the burglary, a large fireproof safe containing a large sum of cash and an air rifle were taken from the home.

During the course of the investigation, detectives discovered one of the suspects, 32-year-old Jason Wynn of Princeton, had also been involved in three other burglaries from the same area. KSP presented information to a Lyon County Grand Jury which resulted in the issuance of indictments on May 1 for all four burglaries.

Police said 25-year-old Travis D. Hale, also of Princeton, has been charged with 2nd degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking over $10,000. At the time of his arrest, he was already incarcerated in the Hopkins County Jail.

Wynn has been charged with four counts of 2nd degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking over $10,000, and 1st degree persistent felony offender. At the time of his arrest, Wynn was already incarcerated in Oldham County.
