Status Hearing for Murder Suspects Set for July 30

MAYFIELD, KY - A status hearing for two Wingo men charged with murder and attempted murder is set for July 30 in Graves Circuit Court.

Jacob Carder and Kenon Andrews have been indicted on two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder as well a being persistent felony offenders following a March 27 shooting near Fancy Farm that left two people dead and one injured.

The two men were set to appear before Judge Tim Stark Monday but Andrews could not be present so Stark delayed action on the case until both men could be there.

Carder and Andrews are accused of killing 22-year-old Jonathon Cagle and 25-year-old Ashley Lambert and injuring 18-year-old Whitley Moore at a home in Dublin.

Cagle, Lambert and Moore were shot from close range. Lambert died the next day. Cagle died two days after the shooting.

Carder and Andrews remain in custody at the Graves County Jail with their bonds set at $1 million.

  What a bunch of crap about the court needing money. Ashley was my niece and Jonathon was her cousin. Nobody is talking about they shot Ashley in the mouth and blew out the back of her spine or about shooting Jonathon in the head and blowing his brains out or about shooting Whitley under her mouth and the bullet blowing out her eye and the bullet ricocheting back down into her chest. EXECUTION STYLE. ALL THIS OVER 800 DOLLARS IN METH. These people are the scourge of the earth and they had better pray they get sent to prison and not released. The reason he could not be in court is because he has cancer and so the taxpayers get to pay for his healthcare now that he is incarcerated. He had been diagnosed with terminal cancer before his last release from jail so he had nothing to lose. Please pray for the victims families and stop all this nonsense about the Judicial System needing money. As long as people like you and I get up every morning and go to work there will be plenty for them to line their pockets.

  There’s not a lot of money to be made from Hangin’s, Estelle. The status quo is much more fruitful for local politician office holders to arrest, convict, sentence, probate, and dump these criminals back out to commit more crime thus keep the lucrative cycle operating. Never mind that innocent people end up getting killed sometimes in the process…..it pays off in dollars!! Nothing like a constant influx of fines, court costs, incarceration fees, lawyer fees, and various and sundry system expenses to keep prosecutors, judges, and other lawyers at a nice level of income.

  I have a request for a news agency to tackle. Why was this guy with 30 prior arrests in Graves alone, on the streets? He was arrested 7 weeks earlier, and served only 18 days for various offenses, including three felonies. One being, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

  He was probably practicing his tough guy jail walk. Murderers usually enjoy a certain amount of notoriety among the other worthless criminals so he probably was working with his publicist and PR man, Rooster, the gasoline huffing window-peeper, on the walk.
