PADUCAH - Schools are already gearing up for fall classes, and the United Way of Paducah-McCracken County wants to be sure every student has the tools he or she needs to succeed this year.

Celebrating its 10th year, the United Way's Stuff the Bus school supply drive has shoppers at Paducah's Wal-Marts and Sam's Club loading a yellow school bus with donations. This year's event is Saturday, from 10 am - 4 pm.

United Way volunteers will pass out shopping lists with needed school supplies to people at Sam’s Club on James Sanders Boulevard and Wal-Mart at both the Hinkleville Road and Irvin Cobb Drive locations. Shoppers can purchase supplies and drop them off on their way out of stores.

Cash donations are also accepted on site.

New this year are online donations. Whether you are at home or at the store, use PayPal to designate a gift towards the school supply drive through PayPal donations for this event are open now.

The United Way provided school supplies to 1,353 students in all 18 public and private schools in Paducah-McCracken County last year.
