Carefree Highway is a western Kentucky group and they are no strangers to the Mayfield Summer Music Festival, having performed several times in years past.

Acoustic music is their forte, blending traditional and contemporary bluegrass, and original songs. The result is an energetic, contemporary sound with a wide variety in their repertoire.

The members of the band have established reputations in the music world, winning many individual musical awards. Together, they offer more than 85 years of professional experience.

The public is invited to attend the free concert this Saturday at 7 pm on the courthouse lawn in Mayfield. Bring a chair, bring a friend – concessions furnished by First United Methodist Church ministries. The event is cancelled in the event of rain.
