Suspicious Person Call Leads to Drug Arrest

LYON COUNTY - A call about a suspicious person led to a woman's arrest on drug and other charges.

On Tuesday, the Lyon County Sheriff's Office received a complaint regarding a suspicious person at the US Army Corps of Engineers Kuttawa Recreation Area.

Upon arrival, deputies located 46-year-old Ann Marie Young of Carlyle, Illinois.

Deputies say Young was under the influence of an intoxicating substance. She reportedly admitted to using methamphetamine and was allegedly found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Young was arrested and lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.

She is charged with public intoxication, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
