Teen Charged with Killing Cat, Threatening Owner

A Graves County teen was arrested Thursday on animal cruelty and other charges. According to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old James Henderson of Symsonia is charged with two counts of second-degree cruelty to animals and one count of terroristic threatening.

A woman told deputies Henderson shot her cat three times two days ago, and it died. Henderson also allegedly broke her dog’s ribs. When the woman confronted Henderson about it, he allegedly threatened to burn her house down.

Henderson was lodged in the Graves County Jail.
