Teen Killed in Princeton Shooting Identified

PRINCETON, KY - The teenager killed Monday in a shooting in Princeton has been identified.

Princeton Police say the 15-year-old victim is Deaaron Hamilton of Princeton, and he was a student at Caldwell County High School.  Police say the school has grief counselors available for students.

Police detectives continue to interview witnesses and follow leads. They say the community has been very cooperative. Police say they believe this is an isolated incident between individuals, and do not believe that the there is a public safety concern.

A shooting in Caldwell County on Monday night has taken the life of a teenager.

According to the Princeton Police Department, officers responded to a report of shots fired and a boy lying in the middle of the road in the 300 block of North Seminary. Police said a 15-year-old boy was transported by Caldwell County EMS to Caldwell County Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.  

The victim's name has not been released.

There are no suspects at this time.  Officers are currently following leads.
