By West Kentucky Star Staff
BENTON, KY - World-renowned musician and Paducah native Terry Mike Jeffrey will be playing with his band tonight at Marshall County High School's Kenneth Shadowen Performing Arts Center.

Jeffrey has been performing since the 1970's, and has shared the stage with many famous musicians. He has made appearances on Broadway, and has mastered several instruments including the guitar, piano, sax and drums. He was nominated for an Emmy Award in 1997.

"In addition to my six-piece band, we've got a seven-piece horn section with trombones, trumpets and saxes. And we've got a seven-piece string section with violins, violas, and cellos. It allows us to do some really nice arrangements." Jeffrey said.

Jeffrey said he'll be performing several Elvis Presley songs, as well as hits by the Beatles, Blood Sweat and Tears, and several other artists.

The show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25, and can be purchased at the Children's Arts Center in Benton, Benton City Hall, and at the Calvert City Library. They are also available online at

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Marshall County Arts Commission.
