It was not an April Fool's joke early Wednesday morning, when McCracken County Sheriff's deputies knocked on the door of a home in Farley. After officers tried to serve a warrant, three people were arrested, and are facing various charges.

Deputies had an arrest warrant for 26-year-old Andrew Morgan. Morgan could be seen through the window of the Carolina Street mobile home as they approached the front door. When they knocked on the front door, people could be heard inside running through the home.

When 63-year-old Albert Baker of Paducah answered the door, he allegedly said Morgan wasn't there. Deputies say they told Baker they could see Morgan inside the home through a window before they knocked on the door, but Baker kept claiming he wasn't there.

Deputies entered the home and say they found Morgan hiding under a bed in one of the bedrooms.

Morgan was arrested for criminal mischief, criminal trespassing and menacing. Baker was arrested for hindering apprehension. Another person in the home, 31-year-old William Calhoun, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Trigg County.

During their time in the home, deputies say they saw marijuana smoke and smelled raw marijuana. A search revealed an indoor marijuana growing operation in a closet of Calhoun's bedroom. The 10-plant grow was set up with fans, lights connected to a timer, and reflective material on the closet walls. Deputies say numerous items relating to cultivating and smoking marijuana, as well as processed marijuana were found throughout the home.

Calhoun was additionally charged with cultivating more than five marijuana plants, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Morgan, Calhoun, and Baker were booked into the McCracken County Jail.
