Three Arrested in Murray on Weapons Charges

Three people face weapons charges after police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in front of a Murray convenience store.

On Tuesday, Murray police were dispatched to a convenience store in Murray in response to a van that had been parked on the lot for an unusually long time. Police said 55-year-old Melodee Johnson of Sedalia, 28-year-old Michael Brinn of Mayfield, and 28-year-old James Stovall, also of Mayfield were found in the van, and a defaced firearm was also found.

All three suspects were charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Stovall was also charged with driving on a suspended license.

All three were taken to the Calloway County Jail.
