Four people - three of them teenagers - were killed in a crash involving a van and a tractor Saturday morning on KY 274 in Trigg County.

The accident happened near the curve at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, about a mile north of Business US 68 just before 8 a.m. The van, driven by 30-year-old David Shoaf, of Cadiz, was traveling south on KY 274 when it skidded sideways and collided with a farm tractor, driven by 58-year-old Mark G. Calhoun.

According to Kentucky State Police, Shoaf and his passengers, 18-year-old Kimberly M. Shafer, 17-year-old Lindsey M. Sholar, and 19-year-old Dalton R. McDougall were pronounced dead at the scene. A fifth person, 18-year-old Brenden J. Breen was taken to Trigg County Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. Breen was the only occupant of the van wearing a seatbelt.
