Tip Leads to Arrest, Drug Charges for Benton Man

BENTON, KY - A Benton man was arrested Monday on drug charges after law enforcement received a tip.

Marshall County Sheriff's Department and the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force went to a home on Ethridge Lane in Benton after hearing about drug activity. Deputies were allowed to enter and search the home. Coffee filters containing Coleman fuel and residue were in the home, along with foils with methamphetamine on them. Two small bags of meth were also found, along with another controlled substance, a bag of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Deputies arrested 54-year-old Billy J. Stacey, charging him with manufacturing methamphetamine, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine precursors, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to Marshall County Detention Center.
