A Graves County man was arrested Wednesday after a traffic stop in Paducah.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says a deputy stopped a vehicle about 2 pm on Husband Road, and saw the driver, 35-year-old Jonathan Lyell of Mayfield, trying to conceal a pipe.

The deputy learned that Lyell's driver's license was suspended because of a recent DUI. The vehicle's registration was expired, and was not insured. Detectives and deputies say they searched the vehicle and found a marijuana smoking pipe, a glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue in it, and other drug paraphernalia.

Deputies say Lyell admitted that he owned the items, and used meth. He was arrested on multiple charges, including careless driving, possession of meth and drug paraphernalia, and tampering with evidence.
