A traffic stop last Friday on I-24 led to drug charges for two Georgia men.
A Kentucky State Police Trooper stopped a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Terry Voyles of Villa Rica, GA at around 9:30 am for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop troopers became suspicious and walked a K-9 around the vehicle. After the dog alerted, troopers reportedly found about 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine in the vehicle.
Both Voyles and his passenger, 40-year-old John Woodham of Douglasville, GA were arrested and charged with first-degree meth trafficking, possession of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were booked into the Caldwell County Detention Center.
