Trial dates are set for two men connected to last year's fatal drive-by shooting in Mayfield.

A jury trial for 27-year-old Dimitri Ross is set for May 19. A jury trial for 30-year-old Stanford Shelton is scheduled for July 7. Both men are charged with murder.

The drive-by shooting took place on June 18, 2019 at a duplex on West Lee Street, resulting in the death of 23-year-old Savannah Hancock. Hancock suffered a gunshot wound to her neck and died three days later at an Evansville hospital.

Police have said that Ross and Shelton intended to shoot someone else, but fired into the wrong home.

A third person, 26-year-old Hayden Dunigan, pleaded guilty last week to facilitation to murder. She'll be sentenced to five years in prison.
