WKDZ radio in Cadiz reports that the Trigg County coroner’s office responded about 5pm to Donaldson Creek Bay on Lake Barkley. The report said 61-year-old Ronald Holt Jones of Liberty Lane in Cadiz, apparently walked out onto the ice pulling a small jon boat, but he the ice broke and he fell into the frigid water. Jones' wife returned home, saw the boat, and called for help.
WKDZ reports the coroner’s office says they are not yet releasing a preliminary cause of death. Their investigation continues with help from the Kentucky state medical examiner’s office.
