State Troopers from Illinois and Kentucky met at Paducah's Noble Park on Friday to discuss traffic safety, expecially over the busy Memorial Day weekend.

Trooper Michael Usher from Illinois State Police District 22, and Trooper Jay Thomas from Kentucky State Police Post 1 spoke to reporters about their unified efforts to prevent traffic injuries and fatalities.

You've heard it before, but it bears repeating: be responsible every time you get behind the wheel - don't drink and drive, never text, and make sure everyone wears a seat belt.

Memorial Day weekend is May 24- 27.
