CALVERT CITY, KY - A semi tractor-trailer crashed on the Purchase Parkway's northbound ramp to I-24 West Wednesday afternoon.

The truck's cargo had to be off-loaded by hand due to being a powder material in 500-pound bulk containers.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Department responded initially to the crash scene about 1:25 pm. The driver of the truck, 70-year-old Kenneth R. Dyer of Ruthven, IA, refused medical treatment on the scene.

The truck was removed from the scene and the ramp reopened about 11:00 pm.
