By WestKyStar Staff
Lake City, KY - A semi-tractor trailer left the road and oveturned on US highway 62 near Lake City Friday morning.

Kentucky State Troopers report that 47-year-old William B. Kemp, Jr. of Evansville, IN failed to negotiate a curve in the truck. The truck went over the guardrail and rolled down an embankment, stopping on its top near tracks from P&L Railroad.

The trailer was loaded with plastic pellets, which had to be pumped onto another truck before it was uprighted. This process took most of Friday, but traffic on the highway was only interrupted while the truck was removed late Friday night and early Saturday morning.

Kemp was taken by Livingston County EMS to Lourdes Hospital due to minor injuries.

Grand Lakes Fire Department and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement helped at the scene.
