Gov. Matt Bevin appointed two area people to Kentucky Boards and Commissions on Wednesday.

Danny Ray Kelly of Clinton was appointed to the Kentucky Water Well Certification Board. He owns Kelly Well Drilling, and will represent the rotary tool drilling method on the board. Kelly will serve for a term expiring August 16, 2019.

Kelly will serve with four others who were appointed Wednesday - Orris Edward Hayes, Roy H. Toney, Oscar Barton Davidson and Kevin Robert Moses.

The Kentucky Water Well Certification Board recommends to the Secretary of the Energy and Environment Cabinet administrative regulations to govern examinations and can suggest hearings to suspend, revoke or deny a certificate.
