A Benton and a Murray resident were placed under arrest following a burglary investigation by police.

According to Kentucky State Police, 37 storage units had been burglarized over the past few months.  Police say a month long investigation has pointed the finger at 20-year-old Charles "Dakota" Angle of Benton and 29-year-old Katrina Simmons of Murray as two suspects in the case.

Troopers say Angle was found at a home in Marshall County and Simmons was found at a home in Calloway County.  Both were placed under arrest on Friday.

Both have been charged with 37 counts of 3rd degree burglary, 37 counts of 3rd degree criminal mischief, 2 counts of criminal trespassing, and theft by unlawful taking under $500. Both have been booked in to the Calloway County Jail.

Troopers say they anticipate additional arrests will be made in the case.

Troopers also say they have been able to locate many of the stolen items.
