Two Arrested after Multi-County Police Chase

Two people were arrested Wednesday after a police pursuit through two counties.

According to the Kentucky State Police, A trooper attempted to pull over a vehicle for speeding on US 641 in Marshall County. The driver, Jarru R. Cavitt of Paducah, continued into Calloway County, where he turned into a driveway of a home on Charley Miller Road.

Cavitt and his passenger, Tia Riley of Paducah, were both arrested and taken to the Calloway County Jail without incident.
  
Cavitt was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon, no registration plates, no insurance, speeding, possession of marijuana, 1st degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, reckless driving, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating on suspended or revoked license, possession of an open alcohol container in a vehicle, fleeing or evading and littering.

Riley was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
