Two Arrested for Prescription Fraud, Forgery

MAYFIELD, KY - Two people were arrested Tuesday on prescription fraud and identity theft charges.
According to Kentucky State Police, 35-year-old Jaime Brown had called three Mayfield area pharmacies on several occasions and provided the name and DEA number of a local nurse practitioner and was able to obtain prescriptions for medication. Brown was arrested and charged with nine counts of theft of identity and nine counts of obtaining controlled substance by fraud.
Police said 26-year-old Amanda Frick of Grand Rivers was also arrested for picking up the fraudulent prescriptions on August 8. She was charged with six counts of obtaining controlled substance by fraud, six counts of forgery second degree, possession of controlled substance second degree, and possession of controlled substance third degree.
Both Brown and Frick were lodged in the Graves County Jail.
