Two Drivers Hurt in Benton Collision

Two people were hurt in a collision Tuesday morning in Benton.

Marshall County Sheriff's Department responded to the intersection of 14th Street and Poplar Street at 10:52 am. They determined that 54-year-old Timothy L. Beck of Mayfield was on 14th Street when he apparently failed to stop, and struck a vehicle driven by 58-year-old Charles D. Frizzell of Benton. Beck's vehicle then struck a utility pole.

Both men were taken to Marshall County Hospital by Marshall County EMS for treatment of their injuries.
