Two Face Drug Charges after Graves Traffic Stop

Two people were arrested after a traffic stop Friday in Graves County.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office says deputies stopped a vehicle at around noon driven by Phillip Nelson Jr. for failure to wear a seatbelt.

Deputies said they got consent to search the vehicle and found .4 grams of suspected cocaine under the passenger seat, and three glass pipes and three small baggies with suspected meth residue in the trunk of the vehicle.They also found a short straw in the belongings of passenger Tabatha Wilhite that had suspected cocaine residue in it.

Both Nelson and Wilhite were arrested and transported to the Graves County Detention Center.

Nelson is charged with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia, possession of meth and traffic offenses. Wilhite is charged with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
