Two Face Meth Charges in Marshall County

MARSHALL COUNTY - Two people were arrested on methamphetamine charges over the weekend in Marshall County.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office says deputies were dispatched to the Purchase Parkway Saturday in reference to two people walking in the roadway and almost being hit. Deputies found them walking near I-24 and their vehicle a short distance away.

As a result of the investigation, deputies arrested Cory J. Patton of Grantsburg, IL and Carla Marten of Vienna, IL. Both were charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Marten was additionally charged with tampering with physical evidence.

Both were lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
