Two Injured, One Jailed After Marshall Collision

MARSHALL COUNTY, KY - A Benton man was arrested and taken to jail after a two-car collision in Marshall County on Saturday.

Just after 12:30 Saturday afternoon, 36-year-old Ryan Johnson was travelling westbound on KY 348 (Symsonia Highway). When he slowed down to turn into a driveway, his vehicle was struck from behind by a car driven by 18-year-old James Haines of Symsonia.

Johnson's vehicle overturned and came to a rest of the passenger side off the roadway, while Haines' car wound up in a ditch. Haines was not injured in the crash, while both Mr. and Ms. Johnson were treated and released from Marshall County Hospital.

After his release from the hospital, Mr. Johnson was arrested on a Failure to Appear Warrant out of Marshall County. He was also cited to court for an Expired Registration and No Insurance. He was lodged in the Marshall County Jail.
