Two men were arrested after a traffic stop Saturday morning in Mayfield.

According to the Mayfield Police Department, a vehicle was pulled over on Paducah Road at 9:13 am because the passenger wasn't wearing a seat belt. Police spoke to the driver, 24-year-old Jonathan Holmes II, and determined that he was driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He was arrested, and also charged for the seat belt violation.

Police say they learned the passenger in the vehicle, 51-year-old Jonathan Holmes, Sr., was wanted on a warrant, so he was also arrested. Police say they found a baggy of methamphetamine on him along with a syringe. He was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both men were taken to Graves County Jail.
