Two Women Hurt When Pick-Ups Collide on US 62

CALVERT CITY, KY - Two women were hurt early Thursday morning when two pick-up trucks collided on US 62 near Riley Circle about one mile west of Calvert City.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Department, a westbound pick-up truck driven by 19-year-old Jessica Rogers of Paducah drifted across the center line about 1:40 am and struck an eastbound pick-up driven by 32-year-old Lannette N. Nieder of Grand Rivers head-on.
Rogers was extricated and taken by EMS to Lourdes for treatment of injuries. Nieder was also extricated from her vehicle and then flown by PHI helicopter to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville for treatment of injuries.
Both women were wearing seatbelts when the collision occurred.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
