US-62, KY-286 Reopened After Utility Repairs
By West Kentucky Star Staff
MCCRACKEN COUNTY - As of Friday night, US 62/Blandville Road and KY 286 have reopened to traffic along the corridor of tornado damage in McCracken & Ballard counties.

Utility crews have completed most of their work reconstructing power lines and utility poles between the "Y" intersection at Milan Station and the Fisher Road intersection.

Any additional work on Saturday will be completed with flaggers controlling one lane traffic.

Utility crews will turn their attention to side roads along the tornado damage corridor. Some side roads may be closed at times for repair work on Saturday.

Several volunteer groups plan to assist homeowners with debris removal on Saturday.

Otherwise, drivers are still asked to avoid travel through damaged areas. Truck traffic is also highly encouraged to continue using US 60.
