DEXTER, KY - Three people were arrested by Calloway County Sheriff's Deputies as a result of serving a warrant.

On Monday at about 12:30AM, the Calloway County Sheriff's Office attempted to serve an active felony warrant at a home on Peeler Road in Dexter. According to deputies, multiple people were inside.

Deputies surrounded the home and called everyone outside. Two people came out and were detained without incident. Both said that there were others inside, but they didn't know who they were. When the others did not come out and deputies saw active movement inside the home, they went through the open front door and detained five people. Deputies say they saw a crystal substance and drug paraphernalia in plain sight. A search warrant was obtained which resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded handgun.

Sixty-year-old Kenneth F. Knipp of Dexter was charged with possession of methamphetamine (firearm enhanced), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Knipp was served an active warrant on non-related charges of bail jumping first degree and contempt of court.

Deputies also charged 28-year-old Jonathan S. Higgins of Murray with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Also, 28-year-old Sabrina R. Weeks of Murray was arrested on an active warrant from Graves County for contempt of court related to previous drug related charges. Weeks was lodged in the Calloway County Detention Center and later transferred to the Graves County Detention Center.

Four other people in the home were released and not charged, based on where the drugs and paraphernalia were found. Two of them are currently on probation and are required to report to their probation officer in Calloway County.

Deputies said the investigation could result in other arrests and charges.
