The Graves County Sheriff's Office said the wreck happened at around 4:15 pm near the 18 mile marker of the Purchase Parkway. Deputies said a pickup truck, driven by 69-year-old Joann Pharis of Clinton, was traveling south in the slow lane when she attempted to make an illegal U-turn.
According to police, Pharis' truck crossed into the path of a southbound motorcycle in the passing lane, operated by 48-year-old Jeffrey Wright of Wingo.
Wright was airlifted to Tristar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN for treatment of his injuries. Pharis and her passenger were not injured in the crash.
