BENTON, KY - A woman was arrested for DUI Wednesday after another driver was forced off the road to avoid a collision.
Marshall County Sheriff's Department was dispatched after a woman told them she had to leave the shoulder of KY Highway 408 when someone pulled out in front of her, almost causing a head-on collision. The deputy pulled over the other motorist, who appeared to be heavily intoxicated. When the deputy asked 34-year-old Lisa Russian-Coons of Paducah to put on her shoes, she attempted to put her purse on her feet.
Russian-Coons was arrested and charged with DUI, wanton endangerment 1st degree, failure to produce an insurance card, failure to maintain insurance, and failure to notify DOT with change of address. She was taken to Marshall County Detention Center.
