A Ledbetter woman is facing burglary and menacing charges after she allegedly broke into a Livingston County home Sunday night and entered a couple's bedroom while they slept.

The Livingston County Sheriff's Dept. says 29-year-old Rachel Jones was identified as the intruder after a man reported that he and and his wife were awakened by the incoherent speech of a woman standing in their bedroom. They were able to get her out of their residence and contacted police.

The woman's description matched that of a female who had allegedly been involved in an altercation earlier in the evening at another residence in the same neighborhood.

Jones was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon, and lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
