A wreck Tuesday night in Calloway County left a Tennessee woman facing charges.

According to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at around 9:40 pm near the 2900 block of State Highway 121 South. Deputies said 28-year-old Whitney Emmons, of Bumpus Mills, TN, was traveling north on Hwy. 121 when her vehicle left the road, hit a culvert, went air borne and rolled at least once.

Police said Emmons was not injured in the accident, but after failing field sobriety tests, she was arrested. Deputies said they found prescription medication and medical supplies inside the vehicle.

Emmons was charged with DUI, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance not in the proper container. She was lodged in the Calloway County Detention Center.
