Woman Faces Meth Charge After Hospital Disturbance

MARSHALL COUNTY, KY - A disturbance at a local hospital led to a woman's arrest on multiple charges.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called late Monday night to the emergency room at Marshall County Hospital in reference to a complaint called in by a woman claiming that the hospital would not see her. Witnesses told police the woman was in the ER lobby being disorderly, yelling at ER personnel, threatening nurses and reaching through the glass at them.

After being seen and released by the hospital, Angela Gruner of Puryear, TN was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication - controlled substance. According to police, Gruner was under the influence and admitted to smoking methamphetamine.

Further investigation revealed that Gruner was wanted in Illinois on felony charges of possession of methamphetamine. As a result, Gruner was additionally charged with being a fugitive from justice. She was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
