Woman Faces Meth, Pot Charges After Traffic Stop

MARSHALL COUNTY, KY - A traffic stop in Marshall County Sunday night led to drug charges for a Caldwell County woman.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, a deputy stopped a vehicle on Gilbertsville Highway just after 8:00 pm. As a result of the investigation, the driver, Christy Renee Melton of Princeton, was arrested.

Melton was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
