A Mayfield woman charged in a deadly 2018 hit-and-run accident has pleaded guilty.

According to Graves County Commonwealth's Attorney Richie Kemp, Jasmine Rupcke entered a guilty plea in Graves Circuit Court on charges of leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid, tampering with a witness and failure to register the transfer of a motor vehicle.

Kemp said Rupcke will be sentenced to five years in prison.

According to the Graves County Sheriff's Office, Rupcke was driving a van last December on US 45 that struck and killed a pedestrian, Amanda Czerwien of Mayfield, as Czerwein was walking home from work at Pilgrim's Pride.

After the collision, Rupcke allegedly drove to a friend's home and called police, telling them she had hit a deer. Troopers went to the home and determined that Rupcke's vehicle had struck Czerwien.
