Work on US 68 Near Marshall Co High Begins Wed

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict traffic to one lane on US 68 near the entrance to Marshall County High School on Wednesday and Thursday.

This lane restriction on US 68 near High School Road is to allow the placement of a cross drain beneath the roadway.  It is in the already established work zone for construction of new turn lanes for the high school.

KYTC Spokesman Keith Todd says drivers should be prepared to encounter one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers.  Todd says some delays are possible during the placement and positioning of equipment.

This work zone will have a 35 mile per hour speed limit.
