Wreck in Cadiz Sends Woman to Hospital
By WestKyStar Staff
CADIZ, KY - Cadiz Police responded to a two-vehicle wreck on Wednesday that sent one woman to the hospital with multiple injuries.

According to police, 22-year-old Rachel Sproles of Hopkinsville was westbound on US 68, approaching the intersection, when a truck driven by 50-year-old Norman Reed of Cadiz pulled from Main Street into her path.

Reed told officers he thought Sproles was in the lane to turn right onto Main Street. Sproles told officers she was in the right lane, not the passing lane, with the intention of driving straight through the intersection.

Sproles was taken to Trigg County Hospital with multiple injuries, some of which were the result of airbag deployment.

Reed complained of minor arm injuries but refused treatment at the scene.

The intersection of US 68 and Main Street was partially closed for 30 minutes as a result of the collision.
