Dunn Takes Job at Youngstown State

MURRAY, KY - WFMJ television in Ohio reported Friday that Youngstown State University trustees picked Murray State University's current president Dr. Randy Dunn to be their next president. The decision was announced shortly after Murray State Board of Regents voted on Friday not to extend Dunn's contract.
The trustees say they chose Dunn for his experience and his enthusiasm to take YSU to new markets and increase enrollment.
"He was a very great communicator. He has a clear vision. He has great experience having served at Murray State for the past six years and I think he'll do a fantastic job here," Chairman Dr. Sudershan Grag told WFMJ.
"The board did not extend his contract. It doesn't mean the guy failed. Sometimes there can be differences of opinion between the board and the president," said Grag.
Dunn is scheduled to meet with trustees and university attorneys this week to work out a contract. He is expected to officially take his new seat on July 15.
