McCracken Circuit Judge Craig Clymer on Wednesday threw out a pretrial diversion contract for suspended Murray State basketball player Zay Jackson.

Clymer is now presiding over the Calloway County case after Judge Dennis Foust recused himself earlier this month.

The original deal offered by Foust included 30 weekend days in jail, anger management courses, community service and financial compensation to his victims. Jackson accepted that deal.

Clymer has given him the option of one year in jail for each of the first-degree wanton endangerment charges he faces. The sentences would run concurrently. In addition, Clymer says Jackson could qualify for shock probation if he takes the offer.

Jackson will be sentenced on Nov 21 if he accepts the offer. If he does not, the case will move forward to trial.
