Republican: No Pledge to Dems on DHS Vote

There's a new deadline to avoid a Homeland Security Department shutdown and no clear sign that a deal is close at hand.

An agreement allowed a one-week spending bill to pass only hours before a threatened shutdown Friday, and President Barack Obama quickly sign it.

That deal required majority Republicans to get the blessing of House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi. She's assured fellow Democrats that the last-minute vote would clear the way this week for a full-year spending bill — without the language rolling back Obama's immigration policies.

But not so fast, says the No. 3 House Republican leader.

Rep. Steve Scalise tells "Fox News Sunday" there's been no such commitment.

And House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy isn't offering specifics about how to resolve the impasse.
